Builth is situated on a very pretty stretch of the River Wye (see photo 1) next to the Royal Welsh Show Ground. Apart from being a nice place to visit in its self it is an ideal "rest stop" on long journeys. Builth Wells is about 7 miles south of Llandrindod Wells. Click here for a map of Builth Wells. Tourist Information, Parking and ToiletsThe Tourist Information Centre is on The Strand next to the river bridge (phone: 01982 553307). For more information on Builth see: Next to the Tourist Information Centre is the main car park (small) and a set of public toilets. Information last reviewed: 19th/9/06. Parks and PlaygroundsThere is a pleasant park area next to the main car park (see above). This has an enclosed playground which has apparatus to suit all ages. The park also has buggy friendly walks along the river. Information last reviewed: 11th/7/06. Shops and EatingThe shops are mainly along High Street. These are small local shops but does include grocers. There are also several cafes in the shopping area, we like "The Drovers".
